Nordic Packraft Roundup 2024

Kajaktiv is proud to announce that we will be hosting the 2024 Annual
Gathering of Packrafters. This international event welcomes
enthusiasts, newcomers, and everyone in between to join us for three
days of courses and workshops in the picturesque setting of Dala-Floda,
located in the heart of Dalarna, Sweden.

Free registration is 600 SEK (approximately 55 euros and includes 6% Swedish VAT) for the weekend, and it includes:

• Event administration
• Accommodation for 2 nights in a dormitory with Kajaktiv or in the club house, alternatively camping.
• Access to bathroom and showers
• Community meal (BBQ) Saturday night including one beverage (sponsored by Kajaktiv)
• Access to clinics during the weekend
• Registration for the packraft race
• Access to the movie night
• Entry to the lottery to win a Hiko Valkyrie Air4 drysuit worth 10 800 sek or 960 €
• 10-15% discount from the Kajaktiv store (NOTE: does not include products on sale or discounted).

Extra accommodation: 200 sek per extra night, book with registration or contact us after.

Spa & Sauna: 200 sek per person 90 minutes min group 3 persons maximum 10 persons. (Book at Kajaktiv on arrival).

Basic packrafting paddling skills: Thursday and Friday

This is an introduction course suitable for everyone who never took a
paddling course. We will cover all the equipment needed, the outfitting
of the boat, river features, communication, basic paddle strokes and
how to safely navigate a river with friends.

Duration: 2 days

Cost: 1800 sek + Accomadation 400 sek

Intermediate packrafting paddling skills: Thursday and Friday

A course for the more advanced paddlers who already have the basic
course. In this course we’ll work on more advanced paddle strokes,
edging, boofing, catching eddies, surfing.

Duration: 2 days

Cost: 1800 sek + Boende 400 sek

River rescue training: Sunday and Monday

Learn how not to put yourself and your fellow paddlers in danger, how to look after yourself in a dangerous river incident and learn what to do and not to do, including skills like use of throw bags, pulley systems and crossing techniques. The course is run by Guidestugans Fred Fredrik a qualified Rescue  instructor. (Note: this is not a certified Rescue 3 course). We have made this now possible to do the other courses and a day to join clinics and paddle with others on saturday.

Instructors for these courses are certified guides and
instructors – Fredrik Feyling (IRF, NPF,WRTpro) and Jeremie Lamart (IRF,
NPF, WRTpro) – this is a unique opportunity to join these courses at a
great price (a 2 day course is usually around 3500sek)
